What is re-registration in IGNOU?

Re-registration in IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is a process through which a student who is already enrolled in a particular program can re-register for the next year or semester of the program. Re-registration is mandatory for continuing students who wish to pursue their studies in the same program in the next year/semester.

The re-registration process usually opens a few months before the end of the current academic session and continues for a limited period of time. During this period, students are required to submit the re-registration form along with the prescribed fee to the University. The fee for re-registration may vary depending on the program and the year/semester for which the student is re-registering.

The purpose of re-registration is to ensure that students continue their studies in a systematic and timely manner, and complete the program within the specified duration. Re-registration also helps the University to plan and organize the academic activities, including the availability of study material, assignments, and examinations.

Each Year IGNOU  have Practical components in there curriculum IGNOU Its mandatory to Submit IGNOU Solved assignments in IGNOU Handwritten Assignments   Format as assignments constitute 30% Weightage.

If a student fails to re-register within the specified period, their enrollment in the program may be deemed as cancelled, and they may have to go through the admission process again to continue their studies.

Therefore, it is important for students to keep track of the re-registration dates and complete the process within the prescribed time to avoid any inconvenience or delay in their studies.
